Kingston sponsors local event featuring its trademark
"Sugar Pine" sweet pineapple

On Sunday, March 3rd, the Museum of Lifestyle & Fashion History in Boynton Beach, Florida presented the 8th annual Children & Parents Day pineapple celebration. When hearing of the event, Kingston chose to show support by providing its premium "Sugar Pine" golden pineapple to families in attendance.

The pineapple theme was infused in all aspects of the event including the all-you-can-eat buffet, the "Make Me A Pineapple" kids cooking classes, cooking demos and arts and crafts. There were also souvenir photos in the pineapple patch. Children & Parents Day was an official event of the State of Florida's 500th anniversary, "Viva Florida," and featured the history of pineapple in Palm Beach County, Florida.

Lori J. Durante, Executive Director/Chief Curator commented, "We are very grateful to have wonderful sponsors like Kingston to help partner in making this event a success. I've heard a lot of positive feedback from committee members as well as chefs and they all raved about the Kingston Sugar Pines as 'so good and so sweet in taste'."

Kingston's President, Ken Nabal, added, "I was very excited when Lori approached me with the concept. It is rare to find such an exciting event and a great opportunity for Kingston to connect with our community. The kids had great fun incorporating the pineapples into the recipes and games. Better yet, these festivities focused on educating the children to the nutritional value of eating fresh fruits as well-a topic very important to those of us here at Kingston."
